OBITUARY:

KNAPPEN - Mauveen Jean (Paulson) Knappen, 82, of Grand Rapids, died Monday, November 16th. She was born December, 23, 1926 in Lakeview, MI. She was the daughter of the late Arthur B. and Genevieve T. Paulson. She is survived by four children, Kristin (Michael) Murphy, Jack (Susan) Knappen, Jennifer Knappen, and Erik (Luanne) Knappen; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bernard (Joan) Paulson and Richard (Susan) Paulson; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Carol Nelson and Marilyn Balczak; one brother, Jack Paulson. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 19th at 12:00 noon at Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Avenue, N.E., Grand Rapids. Burial will follow in Fair-plains Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 18th from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions can be made to Humane Society of Kent County and Porter Hills Health Center with envelopes available at the funeral home.
