Deaar Elaine, Garret and John,

You have done a beautiful job sharing who your mother was. I am sorry for your temporary loss. I am happy for you that when you pass to the next life that you will see her again. I am thankful that she no longer is sick.

Elaine, your life shows that you learned to serve others. I am sure that your mother would be very proud of you. I am sorry I could not come to your moms funeral, but I have been sending prayers to God that He will hold you and your family close and comfort you.

Your friend,

Cindy Slate.

Though I did not know Grace very well, I know her son, Gerald, who is married to my sister. I am sad for the family's loss, and I admire Grace for her life and testimony, and for the wonderful children she raised. She was a great support for her husband, John, and I know he will miss her dearly. May the God of Comfort minister richly to the family in their time of loss. He gives us grace in our time of need.

Do not fear, for I am with you;

Do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you,

I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Is. 41:10

We remember Grace as a loving, giving lady who always had a smile and a song in her heart. She graciously gave us a pair of Stride Rite shoes when our babies were born. We shared daughters for many years and remember the good times the girls had together. We thank God that he sent Grace and her family to our Quarry Ave. Baptist church many years ago and have sweet memories of the whole family. We will remember your family in prayer during this very sad and happy time in your lives. We know that Grace is with the Lord and rejoicing!
