Carl was a cousin to my Mother, Angela(Miller) Copp.
A cousin of my Mother's wrote a history book of the Miller family.
My cousin, Larry Warner, son of Bernita(Bea)(Miller) Warner wanted to continue it on to the present.
I told Larry, I know just the people you should contact.
Of course, they were your Mom and Dad. They gave him SO much information, not only about the Miller family, but the whole Fowler area, about who was related to who.
Larry and his wife, Peggy, came up to your folks home, and your Dad went on a ride with them and showed them all of the homes of people we are related to.
Larry and Peggy SO appreciated that ride.
Please know your parents are looking down from Heaven, and saying,*It's OK girls, we are in the arms of our Lord, Jesus, to suffer no more."
With prayers and kind thoughts,
Carolyn(Copp) and Jack McCumber

Larry and his wife, Peggy, came to see your Dad, and they took a drive, and your Dad showed them many of the homesteads of our relatives. Larry and Peggy SO much appreciated that drive and all of the information your Dad gave them.
Your parents were so proud of you, Rosemary and Patty.

One evening In August I stopped my bike to say hello to Carl while he was on a walk. The talk turned into a 10 minute walk down memory lane. He told me about the time he went with my dad to a Detroit Tiger ball game. He said the year-I don't remember it but he did. He still had a gleam in his eye remembering that game. I was amazed at how sharp his mind was. What a sweet man.

Carl, as resident area historian, was always willing to talk about my Grandfather, Nick Blauwiekel. He was so appreciative that Nick treated him as an equal even though he was just a young guy working in the bank. My favorite memory of Carl is him asking "Is your wife in pretty good humor?" to which the proper reply was "tolerable"
