My dear Dot, we were blessed to have Dot & Pete as neighbors on Big Star Lake. What blessed neighbors they were. Always there with kind words, and interested in our children. We had many good talks, and even went on a boat trip all to gether with our other 5 neighbors. It was a very exciting trip. Lots of fun many laughs and good times. Dot also was good friends to my mom and pop, they had good talks also. She is now with pop, and looking down with her big smile, watching all of us continue till we meet again. We love you Dot, love Irene

Dear VanderJagt family,

My memories of your dear wife, mother and grandmother are very special ones. Whenever I would see her she was smiling(a light-up kind). She loved to laugh at little things, give up her time to chat with everyone who came into the office, and would always make everyone feel comfortable.

She treated all with graciousness, class, and caring. She was a genuine and lovely lady whom I ALWAYS admired.

May your memories become treasures.

Hopefully she will be laughing, dancing and chatting with my daughter, Tami who always thought she was the "very best secretary lady.

Love, Carol Van Til"

My Mom

The way I plan to remember my mom is the way she was for the greatest part of her life. My mom loved the Lord, adored her husband and grandchildren and made every attempt to provide me with the best life possible. She was blessed with many attributes. She had an abundance of love to give, intelligence, independence, and a great sense of humor. She was a loyal friend, wonderful wife, and the best role model I could ask for.

My mom had been in a nursing home for about six weeks and was growing weaker. I had the privilege of feeding her one night last week. She was confined to bed at that time and needed to be roused frequently due to the pain medications she was on. She didn’t know me or speak any recognizable words. When we had finished and I was ready to go home, I pulled the sheet back up to her chin and, without expecting any response, asked, “So what do you think?” Without a moment’s hesitation she answered, “I think it’s pretty dog-gone good.”

I had to smile because we had been working with Hospice to make her comfortable and pain-free. I believed that phrase to be an answer to our prayers. She immediately fell back to sleep and never spoke to me again. My mom passed away three days later.

I always thought my mom was close to perfect and now she really is. In Heaven, she has been relieved of all pain and is able to worship the Lord she loves. And if you want to know what I think about that, well, I’ll have to quote a great lady and say……..“I think it’s pretty dog-gone good.”

Love, Linda
