LIFESTORY:
Larry W. Chase 60 of Kingsley died Sunday, June 28, 2009.
He was born on October 23, 1948 in Casper, Wyoming the son William and Lorraine (Spaulding) Chase.
He previously lived in Florida, Ohio and Texas with his son and moved to live with his daughter in Kingsley in 2008
Larry was a Specialist Five in the United States Army. He entered the Army on March 31, 1969 from Casper, Wyoming. He was later transferred to the United States Army Reserve. While in the in military he received the Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/device and Sharpshooter (Rifle M-16) and Pistol 45 Marksman certification. Larry was discharged from Fort Dix, New Jersey on August 9, 1973.
Larry loved art and was in construction as a painter. He was very meticulous about his painting. He could always be found with his handkerchiefs, which red was his favorite. Larry always had to have a list before he would go shopping.
Larry is survived by his son, David Chase and David’s children, Madison, Stacie, Katelyn of Texas, Lizbeth Stewart and Lizbeth’s children, Farrah and Daisy of Kingsley and Joe Chase and his significant other, Jinnie Norman and Joe’s children, Sean, and Aaron of Ohio and his former wife, Jadine Chase of Kingsley.
Graveside service will be held 1:30 pm today, July 1, 2009 at the Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan. A private family services was also held at the Life Story Funeral Home, Traverse City.
