I had the pleasure of working with Jim for ten years at the Plainwell Paper Co. Jim, Bob Stevens, and I were the Instrument dept. We were like a small family in the big Paper mill. Those were the good times. Jim always had a BIG Heart. He helped many people just by treating them as freinds. We shall miss him a great deal. God Bless you James Thomas

We have so many fond memories of the entire Thomas family. Since Jim was three years old when both of us graduated from high school and essentially left Plainwell we didn't watch him grow up but with Doc and Eileen as parents we know he had a wonderful family. Our sincere condolences to the entire family over Jim's death.

Dear Family and Friends of Jim,
I worked with Jim for seven years at MillAssist Services in Otsego, Michigan. Jim was a man who had many opinions! and he did not hesitate to share them with anyone! He was a good friend, and please, Jim, do not give the Angels a hard time in Heaven! Rest in peace. Sincerely, Marcia

We very much enjoyed receiving letters to the editor from James A. Thomas. He was always a pleasure to talk to. We think of our regular letter writers as part of our family. We'll miss him.

I can remember the summer nights when Jim had his pool opened and all of us kids and friends would go next door and go swimming while him and my dad would watch us. Jim was always a kind neighbor when-ever he seen us outside he would ask how we were doing and then at Christmas Time he always sent us a BIG jar of pennies for the 4 of us to split. Like I said he was always a very kind neighbor, I remember talking to him not long ago when my husband had his baby iguana outside on his leash and he brought up to me when my sister Brandi had hers and it use to go swimming in the pool. Jim will be greatly missed by everyone. Hope he is at peace now and is looking down on us thinking about us.

James was a friend to bothof my husbands, Howard Pion and Kyle Anderson. I have known James for many years. I remember him giving my then young son Bryen one of PUg's pups (Sammy). My son enjoyed that dog and to this day Bryen talks and remembes his dog Sammie. Our Son and Daughter both swim in James pool when he built it. We had many BBQ's there and James was always the great host. I talked to him many yearshere in the last few years and I ahve letters that he wrote that I will keep as treasures. He will sincerely be missed by me. God bless his family. They are in my Prayers. We wii see each other again Jim.
