I moved away from Wacousta in 1982, but prior to that had the delight and pleasure of having Stuart's brother and sister-in-law, Herman & Geneva, in choir I directed at the Wacousta UMC. The bonds of friendship have lasted all these years since and I was honored to return for each of their 90th birthday celebrations. And while I didn't know Stuart personally, I accompanied the "quartet" mentioned in his Life Story a few times while involved in music at the Wacousta UMC and delighted in their talent and love of music ... many of the songs I was raised with and remember my Grandpa singing. His Life Story revealed much background I was unfamiliar with, but it is evident he touched the lives of family, students and many others who can only be better citizens and people because of his presence in their lives and willingness to share his musical talents. Your family has certainly been blessed.
