Aunt Eileen and family,
Roger and I both have been so blessed to have you in our lives. It has always been such a pleasure to talk to Uncle Ken and Aunt Eileen. Uncle Ken was always helping Roger to "understand" plumbing, which wasn't one of Roger's favorite things to do. When we got into a situation and couldn't get it fixed, Uncle Ken would always lend a hand. His stories were the best part of his visit. Even though I'm just a niece - in - law, I loved him as much as I did my own uncles. He was so special! We will miss him but we know that some day we will see him and Dad again. God bless to all the family and know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Love you all,
Roger, Kathy, Jennifer and Amanda

I knew Ken for many years. I always called him Paw as he was the Grandfather of my children. I loved him from a young girl as he taught me how to even drive. He always had a smile and his favorite saying was DON'T TAKE ANY WOODEN NICKELS WHEN YOU WOULD SEE HIM AND BE LEAVNIG.My heart also goes out to all the family exspecially Maw. He was a good kind man and loved by all. May he rest in peace. God Bless to All who will miss him.

Losing someone like Ken is more than just losing an individual, for Ken was cut from a mold that seems to no longer be existent. He, as is Eileen, was one of those genuine, concerned persons, a friend to everyone.
While I count Eileen as a very dear friend, my meetings with Ken usually occurred because something was broken or malfunctioning. But he always "fixed" things - at unbelievedly low prices, then proceeded to talk & tell stories, until, by the time he left, I felt I had benefitted from the need to have something repaired.
My heartfelt sympathy to Eileen and her entire family.

My kids always went to my brother Ken's house every summer for 2 weeks. Leonard and Sandy went to play with Johnny and Susie and Brenda and Debbie went to play with Kenny and Anita. When my chilren were young that was the highlight of their vacation time from school. You would of thought we had took them to Disneyworld. They waited for years before they told me that Uncle Ken and Aunt Eileen allowed them to go up to the old Dowden store and charge pop, candy, chips, and ice cream. Ken never once mentioned how much their Dad and I owed him for all that they charged every summer, it's hard tellin. We always knew of the store, but never of them charging stuff to Ken's account.

Just wanted to share a couple of memories of my brother Ken whom I will miss. When we were kids, Ken walked alot before he had a car. His feet always hurt. I told him to buy some shoes that fit his feet instead of his head and when it was Ken and Babe's turn to do the dishes they would give a nickel to do them so they could go to town. My heart is with all the family.
Love, Sis
