Gladys Slotman

Gladys Slotman age 95, of Holland, died Friday, November 14, 2008, at an area care center.

Gladys was born on December 30, 1912 to Henry and Gertie Boerman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey, in 1985; and sons-in-law, Bill Fredricks in 1980, and Chet Kuipers in 2002.

She was a member of Overisel Reformed Church and attended Maplewood Reformed Church and Central Wesleyan.

She was a member of Evergreen Commons and was a resident of Resthaven Maple Woods for 13 years. The family would like to thank the staffs of Maple Woods and Resthaven Care Center for their love and kindness shown to Gladys over the past many years.

Gladys is survived by her daughters, Barbara and Ernest Bekken of Holland, Elaine and Harold Peters of Holland; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mrs. Harvey (Josephine) Boerman of Holland.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 17, at Overisel Reformed Church, A4706 142nd Ave., Holland with Dr. Scott Lokers officiating. Burial will be in Overisel Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Notier-Ver Lee-Langeland Funeral Chapel, 315 E. 16th St., Holland and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Memorial contributions may be given to Resthaven Maple Woods Building Fund.
