Albert Hoekenga

Albert C. Hoekenga age 73 of Holland died Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Hospice House of Holland. Albert was born and raised in Muskegon, MI. He had worked as an engineer at Howmet, Sealed Power, and PCC Airfoils. Albert was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and served in the United States Army . Surviving is his wife Gloria of 51 years; children-Vanessa and Stafford O’Kelly of Lake Forest, IL, Jeffrey and Sherry Hoekenga of Holland, and Todd Hoekenga of Holland; grandchildren- Marie Senters, Andrew Hoekenga, Connor O’Kelly, and Jordon O’Kelly; great granddaughters- Madison Senters and Sydney Senters; brother-David and Carole Hoekenga of North Carolina; sister- Rose Marie West of California; in-laws- Lorraine and James Wolffis, James and Nellie Stevens, and Jack and Nancy Stevens all of Muskegon; several nephews, nieces, and cousins. Funeral services will be 2 pm Monday at the First Presbyterian Church, 695 State St., with the Rev. Matt Webber officiating. Burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery. Visiting will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund. Arrangements are by the Dykstra Life Story Funeral Homes-Mulder Chapel.
