Doris Abbs

Passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 29, 2008. Doris was born March 15, 1934 in Middleville, MI the daughter of Wilbur and Anna (Pierce) Gibbs. She was employed for 14 years with Don's Card Hut and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; and making afghans. Doris was preceded in death by Donald Abbs. Surviving are her children, Linda (Tom) Cody, Brenda (Charlie) Cody, David Abbs, Christine Abbs; 5 grandchildren, Tommy and Travis Cody, Tyler (Jacqulyn) Cody, Justin and Nicole Stephens; great-granddaughter, Leiahna Cody; her sister, Donna (Ed) Groth; and many nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Doris's life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Friends may meet the family Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the chapel. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
