I don't know how I missed seeing Elizabeth's obituary. I feel so badly that I didn't go to either her visitation or the funeral liturgy. I used to bring the Holy Eucharist to Miss Abram and Mrs. Jaglowski when I was pastoral associate at St. James. The one thing that struck me was the kindness and hospitality each of the sisters showed me. They were always so kind and gracious, even when they weren't feeling well. Conversation with each of them was never dull and I would be surprised when I left their home and an hour had expired. Truly, they were beautiful and holy ladies. After Julia died Miss Abram continued to be the same gracious, lovely, and holy lady. All of us need to learn a lesson from Miss Abram on how to life life to its fullest even with a disability.
Eternal rest to you, Miss Abram. May the angels have already led you into the presence of Jesus and I'm sure Mary introduced you to him as her most faithful friend. Thank you for the example of holiness and goodness, I will remember you often, esepcially when I have any physical difficulty that comes with advancing years.
Sincerely,
Jim Brink
