Nick,
We were saddened to read of Val's death in the Holland Sentinel. I know it's been a long time since we've touched base, but our memories of you and Val are still sweet. I remember working with her at the doctor's office and the great times we had - lots of laughter! I also remember how excited she was when she found out she was pregnant with your son - she so wanted that to happen. Remember the Halloween parties at your house? I still have pictures of that in our scrap book. Of course, then you moved away and we lost touch. It sounds like you had a great life after Holland and enjoyed the places you lived.
You and your family will be in our prayers as you transition to life without her. Your memories will be what keeps her alive - laugh over the good ones, cry over the sad ones, give thanks for them all.
We are in our Florida home so will be unable to attend the service. If we were in Holland, nothing would keep us away. Our prayers and thoughts will be with you.
