Minnie Amelia Ackerman

OBITUARY:

Minnie Amelia Ackerman, aged 87, devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at Regency Healthcare Center, in Yorktown, Virginia, on July 22, 2006. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, residing there until 2001. She was the beloved wife of 62 years to the late Leonard Herman Ackerman. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Oscar and Betty Westberg; brother, William and sister, Dorothy (Horn). Minnie is survived by her sister, Hattie Boyd of Caledonia; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Chris Ackerman, of Rockford; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Todd and Lisa Ackerman, of Yorktown, VA; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Michelle and Todd Morris of Grand Rapids; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Scott and Tammie Sremba, of Marne; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Shawn and Sara Sremba, of Rockford; and five great-grandchildren. A gravesite memorial service followed by interment for Minnie and Leonard will be held on the 28th of July, at 10 AM at Rosedale Memorial Gardens, 0-50 Lake Michigan Drive N.W., Grand Rapids. Officiating over the service will be Father Tom Page, of Our Lady of Consolation Church, in Rockford, MI
