Gladys Pauline (Jenkins) Agler

Passed away Wednesday evening May 31, 2006 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Gladys was born in Van Wert County, Ohio, on November 8, 1906. She was a 1925 graduate of Van Wert High School, where she met and later married Leland L. "Rosie" Agler, to whom she was married for 63 years. She had a lifelong love of music and played both the piano and organ. In addition to being a housewife and mother, Gladys worked as a bookkeeper at various companies throughout her life. She was a lifetime member of Alpha Delta Omega National Sorority. She is survived by a daughter, Marcia A. Parks of Kalamazoo, MI, six grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren. Her husband, Leland, a son, Roger L. Agler of Adrian, MI and a daughter, Kathryn Joan Preston of Kalamazoo, preceded her in death. Services will be held 1 o'clock Wednesday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Private entombment services will be in Highland Park Memorial Cemetery in Fort Wayne, IN at a later date. Memorials may be directed to The National Arthritis Foundation.
