Mrs. Veronica A. Youngman, age 79, died Monday, June 16, 2003. She was born in Muskegon, MI on April 21, 1924 to Casimer & Grace Hislop Dryovage. Her mother died at an early age, Veronica was then raised by her maternal grandmother, Anna Hislop in Muskegon Heights, MI & married Robert Youngman on June 5, 1949. Mrs. Youngman had been a graduate of Michigan State, Masters degree from University of Michigan, attended Rockford College, IL & University of Chicago. She was a resident of Detroit for over 30 years having taught kindergarten for 15 years in the inner city schools, & then retired to Stoney Lake. Mrs. Youngman was a member of St. Gregory's Episcopal Church, active with Hackley Library & Muskegon Museum of Art.
SURVIVORS
Husband, Robert; 1 son, Thomas Rocio Youngman of Southfield, MI; 2 daughters, Sara Youngman of Grand Rapids, MI & Amy Tom Crow of Osseo, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents.
SERVICE
Thursday, June 19, 2003, 2:00 PM at St. Gregory's Episcopal Church with Rev. Fr. John B. Hills officiating.
VISITATION
Wednesday, 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home. MEMORIAL: Hackley Public Library or Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana.
