Melissa M. Hansen

Melissa M. Hansen, age 42, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015. Melissa was born in Racine, January 16, 1973, daughter of Charles and Irene (Nee: Pustol) Schweitzer.

Melissa graduated from William Horlick High School “Class of 1991”. An excellent hairstylist and cosmetologist, Melissa was previously employed by Autumn Leaf and Images Beauty Studio. An intelligent young woman, Melissa will be fondly remembered for her huge heart and willingness to help others in need. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her three children, Ronald and Holly Hansen, Kaitlin Wiltse; her mother, Irene Schweitzer (Gary Matthies); her sisters, Amy (Brian) Govednik, Katharine Schweitzer, and Erica Schweitzer; her grandmother, Ella (Harold) Nuernberg; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Schweitzer on December 7, 2014; her grandparents, Charles and Ethel Schweitzer, Stefan Pustol; Aunt, Susan Schweitzer; Uncles, David Schweitzer and Henry Pustol.

Relatives and friends may meet with the family Sunday at the funeral home from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. and Monday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. Memorials to the family for an education fund to be established for Melissa’s children have been suggested.
