Laura Brenner

Laura M. Brenner, of Portage, MI passed away Friday morning, February 27, 2015 at the age of 75. She was born May 29, 1939 to the late Albert and Lena (Ginter) Christler. She was united in marriage to Boyd "Buzz" Brenner on October 7, 1961, he preceded her in death in January of 2002. She attended Oakwood Bible Church for many years. Laura loved living life to the fullest. She was very thoughtful and giving and special to many people. Her family and friends were most important to her. She touched many lives and will be truly missed. Laura is survived by her children, Cindy (Gary) Sarquiz and Sheri (Brian Garratt) Loeffler; grandchildren, Chad, Matt, Annabelle and Max; brother, Larry Christler; and many other dear family members. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert (Katherine) Christler. The family will greet friends on Monday, March 2, 2015 from 6-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave., where the funeral service will take place on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Care of S.W. Michigan or to Meals on Wheels through the Kalamazoo Senior Services Center.
