Ruth Anable

Ruth Eva Anable, age 94, of Kalamazoo, MI died Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Oakview Terrace. Ruth Eva was born in Orangeville, Michigan on March 17, 1920 to the late James and Emma (Hughes) Nevins. On December 6, 1944 she was united in marriage to Max R. Anable, who preceded her in death in 2010. Ruth Eva and Max enjoyed many years together traveling and camping and stayed young by square dancing around the world. Ruth Eva was also preceded in death by her brother and sister in-law, Bud and Lucille Nevins. She is survived by her son, Jan Anable; daughter, Cynthia (Ted) Dorman; grandchildren, Tamara (Jason) Morton and Heather (William) Sagers; great-grandchildren, Alexandria and Aaron; her sister, Shirley (Jim) Stoneburner and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate Ruth Eva's life will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 504 S. Westnedge Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49008, Rev. Ken Johnson will officiate. Friends can visit with the family at the church beginning at 12:00 PM on the day of the service. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Ruth Eva's memory may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or a charity of one's choice.
