With her family by her side, Ruth Ann Schulz, age 64, passed away on Friday February 27, 2015 at her residence. Ruth Ann was born in Milwaukee on March 21, 1950, daughter of Donald and Alice Schulz.

Ruth Ann took great pleasure in teaching fifth grade at North Park Elementary School for forty years until her retirement in 2012. She was an active member and representative for the Racine Educator’s Association (REA). In her spare time, Ruth Ann enjoyed sports of all sorts, and was an avid Packers, Badgers and Cubs fan. She will be best remembered for her love and devotion to her family. Ruth Ann will be dearly missed.

Ruth Ann leaves behind her life partner of twenty two years, Camille; children, Megan Houle, Laura (Frank) Griffiths, Andrew Houle; grandchildren, Derek and Kennedy Griffiths; her father, Donald Schulz; siblings, Nancy (Larry) Dolphin, Katherine Schulz, Michael (Joanne) Schulz; nieces and nephews, Amber (Steve Moechnig) Dolphin, Ben (Sarah) Dolphin, Colleen Schulz, Brenden Schulz; great niece, Payton Dolphin; cousins, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 5, 2015, 5:00 p.m. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Brain Tumor Association 8550 W. Bryan Mawr Ave Ste 550, Chicago, IL 60631 or to the Aids Resource Center 820 North Plankinton Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53203 have been suggested.

The family extends a special thank you to the entire staff at Elizabeth Residence (Franklin) for all their love, support, and compassion as Ruth Ann finished out her 2 year battle with brain cancer. In addition, they would also like to thank the amazing nursing staff at Vitas Home Hospice.
