Joyce Hines

Age 93, died February 11, 2015 at Life Care Center of Plainwell. She was born June 23, 1921 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Raymond and Avis (Millen) Pickett. On September 1, 1939, she was united in marriage with Verle Hines, who preceded her in death in 2000. She was also preceded in death by her children: Ronald, Beth and Ava Lynn and brothers, Cliff and Wayne Pickett. Joyce is survived by 2 children: Carol (Russell) Hover, Rick (Kelli) Hines; a step daughter, Sheri Fitch; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Hines and a son-in-law, David Jones; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and 2 siblings Dale Pickett and Gloria Sundermeier. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 21st at the Kalamazoo Free Methodist Church, 931 West Maple Street; Kalamazoo. A lunch will follow immediately following at the church. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan.
