Carol M. DenUyl, age 79, passed away February 3, 2015.

She is survived by her children, Keith Klimzak, Cathy (Dave) Bekken, Cyndi (Tom) Nyland, and Michelle (Robert) Moton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chelsea, Maxshell, Coral, and Madison Klimzak, of Florida; Lindsey (Brad Harper) Bekken, Jamie (Eric) Heavilin; Samantha Nyland and Tauren Nyland; and Abby and Ian Moton; great-grandchildren, Chenin, Justin, Ella, Aubrey, and Emmylou; her sister, Marie Trunnell of Broomfield, CO; Tom, Sharen, Lauren & Britany Trunnell; Jim, Kathy and Tanner Trunnell; and Art and Doris Janess and family of Costa Mesa, CA. Carol is also survived by Jack and Robin DenUyl, Jodi and Kevin Ference, Julie and Steve Cribley, Bob and Kim Beckman, Gayle and Dawn Thayler; Gordon and Denise Curtis; and Ralph and Jody Troutman and their respective families.

Carol was born in Chicago and moved her family to Saugatuck in 1969. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Saugatuck and a lifelong member of the Auxiliary of the Eastern Star. Carol enjoyed sewing, fishing, and coordinating yearly family get-togethers. She was always willing to help her neighborhood friends and businesses, and was known as one of the most selfless people one could meet.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Dykstra Funeral Home – Mulder Chapel; 188 West 32nd St.

Memorial contributions may be made in Carol’s memory to the Masonic Pathways in Alma, Michigan.
