Lenore Bentley

BENTLEY, Lenore E. Paw Paw Lenore E. Bentley, age 88, passed away Thursday morning, January 22, 2015 at Tendercare Portage. She was born July 31, 1926 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Sabatino and Paulina (Hintz) Martin. She was raised in Chicago and moved to Paw Paw during World War II. She was employed at Duo-Tang in Paw Paw for 36 years until her retirement. She enjoyed her cats, going to baseball games with her family but most of all family gatherings. On December 18, 1948 in Paw Paw, Lenore was united in marriage to Robert M. Bentley who preceded her in death on July 6, 2003. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Russell, Edward and Fred Martin and a sister, Rose Hughes. Surviving are two sons, Tony (Mary) Bentley of Lawton and Patrick (Linda) Bentley of Mattawan; 6 grandchildren, Jason (Edita) Bentley, Michael (Nicole) Bentley, Justin (Fiancee, Lauren Ledford) Bentley, Lance Bentley, Tony Bentley Jr. and Sarah (Adam) Watts; great grandchildren, Aubree and Ethan Bentley, Opal Watts, Samanta Binderyte, Agne Binderyte and Cole Ledford; brother, Theodore (Lois) Martin of Portage; many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends and family, Sunday (1/25) 2 to 5 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw and Monday 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw where services will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Eric Gledhill officiating. Interment will follow the service in Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran School, Paw Paw or Hospice of Southwest Michigan.
