Stephen John Bair, 67 of Buckley died, Saturday, January 24, 2015.

He was born on February 3, 1947 in Frankfort, Michigan the son of Phillip and Ruby Bair.

Stephen served as a PVT in the US Army during the Vietnam War. After honorable discharge he was a Brick Mason for Commercial brick buildings.

He was a member of the Cornell Community Church in Buckley. He enjoyed volunteering and was instrumental in the upkeep of the building and outdoor grounds. He loved his classic cars and gardening.

Stephen in survived by his wife, Elaine (Murphy) Bair; they were married on June 26, 2004 in Buckley; children, Tammy Bair of Jackson, Tim (Heather) Bair of Ohio, Teri Cieslik of Grawn, Katrina (Bryan) Tucker of So. Carolina, April (Adil) Echoubi of Tustin, Josh (Erica) Bivins of Cadillac, Tim Bivins and Pamela Bivins both of Traverse City; 12 grandchildren; sisters, Marge (Neil) Smith of Muskegon, Diane (Dick) Vanderley of Grawn; brother, Carroll (Sandra) Bair of Bear Lake and sister-in-law, Elsa Bair of Traverse City.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Lester Bair.

A memorial service will be held 4pm, Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the Cornell Community Church, Buckley; where the family will greet friends starting at 3pm. The family preference would be contributions in his memory to the Cornell Community Church, building fund, 7030 W. 4 Rd, Mesick, Michigan 49668.
