Joan K. Erickson

Joan K. Erickson, age 68, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan to Harold and Jean “Betty” (Nee: Farthing) Erickson on September 29, 1946.

After graduating from Muskegon High School (1964) and Peggy White’s Beauty College (1965), she spent several years as a beautician.

On April 30th, 1965, she was married to Terry Hull and they lived in Michigan, Missouri, Illinois, North Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin while raising a family. She is survived by her children, Douglas (Victoria) Hull, Andrew Hull (Melissa), Jennifer (Ian) Anderson and 9 grandchildren including Samantha, Jacob, Alexander, Grace Lee, Violette, Tristan, and Silas. She is further survived by Shana, mother of Alexander; her brother John (Sue) Erickson and sister Denise (Larry) George. Joan is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Jason Hull, which was one of the hardest things she ever had to face.

She worked in healthcare occupations for about 3 decades including over 20 years at St. Luke’s Hospital in Racine where she worked in Labor & Delivery, Mothers and the Nursery.

Some of the things “Mom” loved were her family, friends, traveling, camping and the peace of the countryside. She was very generous, quick to forgive, and always available with a compassionate ear.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 26, 2015, 2:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at 2:30 P.M.
