Howard Dale Tucker age 89 of Holland died Tuesday January 20, 2015 at Tender Care Retirement Home in Holland.

Born in East Saugatuck, Howard owned and operated his own farm. He was also employed as a boat builder in the Holland area at Chris Craft, Slick Craft and retiring at S2 Yachts.

He was a lifetime member of East Saugatuck CRC where he served as an Elder, Catechism Teacher as well as Sunday School Teacher and Sunday School Superintendent.

Howard was preceded in death by a grandson Jonathan Koops in 1997, son -in-law, James A. Brower in 2011 as well as his wife of 57 years, Ruth Genzink Tucker in 2005.

He is survived by his children; Ron and Cindy Tucker of Louisville, KY., Karen and Tom Vanden Berg of Holland, Jeanie and Larry Koops of Holland, Sharlene Brower of Dorr, Janice and Steve Vogelzang of Holland, Gary and Jodi Tucker of Holland, Lonna and Dave Schaap of Holland, Phillip and Barb Tucker of Holland, 35 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren; Bro/Sis; Justin Tucker of Holland, Della Van Gallen of Alberta, Canada, Bob and Hazel Ludema of Hudsonville, brothers and sisters in law; Florina Genzink of Zeeland, Glady Genzink of Holland, Don and Alice Genzink of Holland, Marv and Viola Genzink of Holland and Paul Genzink of California as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00AM at East Saugatuck Christian Reformed Church, A-3815 56th Ave. with Rev. Larry Slings officiating. Burial will be in East Saugatuck Cemetery.

Friends may call on the family Thursday 6-8 at the Mulder Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 188 West 32nd St. as well as at the church, Friday 10- 11 prior to the service.
