James Schutt, age 90, of Holland, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at The Inn at Freedom Village.
Jim was born in Holland to Harry and Helene (Michielsen) Schutt and graduated from Holland High School in 1942.
He was a former member of North Holland Reformed Church.
Jim served in the United States Air Force for 13 years and was a member of the VFW Post 2144, American Legion, and the DAV.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Edwin Schutt, brother-in-law, Gerrit Van Kampen, and sister-in-law, Bea Schutt.
Jim is survived by his brothers and sisters, Nelva Van Kampen of Holland, Raymon and Ann Schutt of Holland, Howard and Delores Schutt of Holland, Donald and Marlie Schutt of Holland, and Arlene and Rev. Ken Tenckinck of Warwick, NY; sister-in-law, Ila Schutt of Holland; several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
No services are scheduled. Burial will be in North Holland Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 pm, Saturday (January 24) at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Ave.
