Shirley Tibbitts

Shirley June Tibbits, 85 of Holland passed away in her Holland home, Tuesday, December 16, 2014 after a blessed long and full life. Her family and friends will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband James, the love of her life for 40 years in 1991.

She is survived by children, 2 sons James Tibbitts of Holland, Michael (Deborah) Tibbitts of Holland, 2 daughters, Christine Ruiz of Zeeland and Lucinda (Peter) Beelen of Holland; her pride and joy were her 9 grandchildren; Tracie, Aaron, Timothy (Merikay) Saedrah, Autumn, Amanda, Angela and Rene; 9 great grandchildren, Alexis, AJ, Mackenzie, Jasmine, TJ, James, Corbin, Keyanna and Aubrey who she loved with all her heart and just loved spending time with them and always keeping her cookie monsters supplied with homemade cookies as well as several others that referred to her as Grandma. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and her extended family William and Trish Foder and their 2 daughters Carrie and Katie that also loved her very much.

Shirley was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a very loving and caring person to all that knew her.

Memorial services will be held Sat. 11:00AM at Northwood Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 295 Douglas Ave. Visitation will be 10:00 -11:00 prior to the service.

Memorial gifts may be given to American Heart Association in memory of her late husband.
