Hazel Deanda

Hazel L. Deanda, Kalamazoo, age 76, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014, with her family by her side. Hazel was born in Wayland, MI on September 25, 1938, the daughter of the late Leon and Wanita (Croff) Vincent. She was also preceded in passing by a sister, Ruth Vincent. Hazel had a great smile and personality. She was a gifted bowler who was on many leagues where she made great friends. She was a hard worker who retired from Meijer after 25 years of service. She loved being outdoors and could often be found working in her garden or around the yard. Hazel had a gentle heart and loved animals, especially her dog Oreo. Above all she loved her family and her friends and she leaves them with many happy memories. Hazel is survived by her husband, Dan Deanda; children, Dawn Vincent, Robin (Mark) Montgomery, Patsy (Steve) Czitterberg, Delfa (Steve) Hoag; seven grandchildren, John, Michael, Matthew and Kristen Vincent, Amanda Cook, Emma Czitterberg, Danielle Hoag; three great-grandchildren, Noah, Hanna, Michael Jr.; three siblings, Sharron Vincent, Elizabeth (Earl) Marsman, Thomas Eubank; many nieces, nephews, and friends. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 6-8 PM. A service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, December 18, 2014, beginning at 4 PM, with Earl Marsman officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the SPCA, c/o the funeral home.
