Dale Edward Clay, age 55, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014. Dale was born in Grand Rapids, MI on July 31, 1959.

Dale was preceded in death by his father, David Eugene Clay Sr., and his mother, Jacklyn Bayne Clay (Lomax). Surviving are his loving wife, Brenda; stepchildren Christie and Andrew Martin, Brett Lobbezoo and Maricris Lorenzo; granddaughter Madeline Martin; sister Pamela and Leroy Kaman; brother David Clay Jr.; sister Carole and Scott Terrell; sister Julie and Don Tekautz; sister Joanne and Bill Jones; sister Deneen and Michael Palmitier; sister Laurel Clay; sister Michelle Ramos; sister Brenda Clay; mother-in-law Phyllis Fletcher; brother-in-law David and Carol Fletcher; sister-in-law Karen and Randy DeYoung; sister-in-law Linda and Fred Bradley; and countless nieces, nephews, and friends.

Dale had a lifelong passion for mechanics and found joy in working on cars in his pole barn. Every summer he brought laughter and fun to those around him by hosting a neighborhood fireworks show for the 4th of July. He loved taking family road trips, finding new sights to see along the way, and spending time with family. His favorites were the vacations he took each year with his wife, which always turned into a cross-country adventure. If you were looking for Dale on a Saturday evening, you could often find him watching the car races and walking around the pits. Everywhere he went Dale made a friend and he will be missed dearly by them. Dale was a kind, hard-working, gentle person who was loved by so many.
