Todd Bruursema

Todd Alan Bruursema, age 53, of Holland, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014, at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus, after a week long battle with a stroke.

Todd was born in Holland, MI on June 6, 1961 to Vernon and Mary Bruursema.

Todd was most recently employed at Challenge Manufacturing and was very knowledgeable in injection molding. Todd had a lifelong passion for hunting, fishing, and motorcycles. The days spent on the water, in the woods, or just relaxing with Todd and hearing his stories of his free spirited life, were priceless. He was admired by so many and will be missed by all that knew what a great loving person he was.

Todd was preceded in death by his father, Vernon.

Surviving is his mother, Mary Bruursema; stepmother, Carol Bruursema; wife, Kimi; his children, Blake, Brandon, and Brooke Bruursema; daughter, Jennifer Eldred and Scott Koning Jr.; granddaughter, Kaytlin Koning; sister, Jayne and Mark Darling; sister, Hollie Lofquist; brother, Gary and Sharon Bruursema; brother-in-law, Carl Lofquist; nephews, Travis White, Spencer and Jacob Lofquist, Cody, Drew, Dylan, and Zachary Bruursema; nieces, Megan White and Madelyn Lofquist; great friend, Jerry Doornewerd and a loving friend, Anita Leversee and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be 2-4 pm, Sunday, December 14, at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue.

Graveside services will be 2:30 pm, Monday, December 15, at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 994 Paw Paw Drive.

Memorials may be made to the Cool Lake Property Owners Association for the planting of Rainbow Trout; 11550 North Hilltop Drive, Irons, MI 49644
