Robert Aukerman

Aukerman, Robert E. "Bob" Decatur, AL Passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at home. Robert was born September 4, 1955 the son of Willard and Barbara (Heighton) Aukerman. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army. Robert worked as a machine operator for International Paper. Robert was united in marriage to the former Joni Williams who survives. Also surviving is a son, Robert (Melinda) O'Rourke, brothers, David (Debra) Aukerman, Benny (Karen) Aukerman, sisters, Diane (Mike McDonald) Deem, Brenda (Chet Lathrop) Roe, grandchildren, Connor and Kenadee O'Rourke. He is also survived by a special Sister-In-Law and niece Cheri and Melody Morgan and many friends and family. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky L. Aukerman and niece Pamela A. Aukerman. Friends are being received from 12-2 p.m. Monday at Redmond Funeral Home, where services will be held 2:00 pm. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park officiated by Pastor Jeff McVay.
