Catherine Biesack, age 78, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Racine, July 26, 1936, daughter of the late Nicola and Domenica (Nee: Marini) Rossi. She graduated from St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1955”.

Catherine was an active member of St. Richard’s Catholic Church, was an excellent cook and enjoyed knitting, sewing, and beading. She took great joy in traveling to visit her children and especially treasured time spent with her grandsons. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her children, Chris Ann (Christopher) Dixon of Bronxville, NY, Susan Biesack of Los Angeles, CA, John Biesack of Milwaukee, Anthony (Jing) Biesack of London, England; grandsons, Matthew Dixon of Grand Island, NE and Stephen Dixon of Bronxville, NY; her bother, Antonio (Dorothy) Rossi; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Lucy Neubauer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, November 25, 2014, 11:00 A.M. at St. Richard’s Catholic Church, 1503 Grand Avenue, with Rev. Ron Gramza officiating. Private entombment will be held at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Tuesday at the church 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass. Memorials to the American Cancer Society have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael Mullane and his wonderful staff, and to the caring staff at Wheaton Franciscan Home Care and Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
