Marie Zimmerman

Marie J. Zimmerman, age 87, of Holland died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at The Inn at Freedom Village.

Marie was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and was a volunteer at Holland Hospital. Marie had many happy years at Freedom Village. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Al and friends visiting many memorable places. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert in 1999.

She is survived by her children: Marlene and Ron Fricano of Holland, Patrice and Tom Bergeron of Holland, Terri M. Johnson and Philip L. Roberts of Darien, IL, Norman and Martha Johnson Carol Stream, IL; step-daughters: Kathy and Mike McConnell of Winfield, IL, Cindy Lavery of San Diego, CA; grandchildren: Andrew Bergeron and Carmen Maret, Timothy Bergeron, Eric Hestrup and Krista and Scott Ripke; step-grandchildren: Sean McConnell and Ryan McConnell, Jessie Lavery, Carrie Zaspel and Lindsay Lavery; great grandchildren: Austin, Hunter and Easton; step-great grandchildren: Ziggy and Ozzie; sister: Shirley and Chuck Formby of Oregon, IL and their children Kathy, Barbara and Sue; nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Peace Lutheran Church 389 James Street in Holland. Pastor Justin Walker will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to Wings of Mercy, Hospice of Holland or Peace Lutheran Church. Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Home – Northwood Chapel.
