Ann Peterson, age 88, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 at Ridgewood Care Center. Ann was born in Ionia, MI, January 10, 1926, daughter of the late Joseph and Daisy Burns.

On March 26, 1965 she was united in marriage to Richard Peterson at Bethany Methodist Church where she was a longtime member. She was presently a member of Christ Church United Methodist. Ann was employed for many years at St. Luke’s Hospital. She and her husband were foster parents for many years.

Survivors include her loving husband, Richard; her daughters, Kathy (Dean) Erhardt, Marjorie (Mario) Bruno, all of Racine; 5 grandchildren, Sylvia and Dan Tyree, Veronica Norbert, Jenifer and David Fechner Jr., Jimmy Erhardt (Lisa Ison), Christina Davis; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister, Vernon (Jean) Burns, Emma Rogers, Gerry Burns, Jan Foreman, all of Mason, MI, Douglas (Shirley) Burns of Daleville, AL; sister-in-law, Shirley Dekker of Grand Rapids, MI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her adopted parents, Richard and Sara Dekker; her daughter, Nancy (Robert) Norbert; sister, Pat Donley and brother, Jack Dekker.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 20, 2014, 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Foundation have been suggested.
