Sarah Guizar age 88 of Pontiac, MI. died October 23, 2014 at her daughters home in Holland.

Sarah was born in Arkansas, living in very poor conditions spending a big part of her childhood years in a tent. As a child, Sarah was expected to help in the fields picking sugar beets and cotton.

Sarah instilled in her family hard work ethics. She worked 3rd. shift at a G.M. plant in Detroit while raising her family. She later worked for Fox and Hound as an assistant baker where she learned to love both cooking and baking. She was known for her flour tortillas, pot roast and banana cream pies.

All was not work for Sarah. She was fond of playing cards, dominos and on occasion taking trips to the casinos. However her greatest joy were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sarah was a devote Christian and her beloved St. Michaels Catholic Church was a big part of her life. She will be greatly missed.

Sarah is survived by her children;

Marie Guizar of Detroit, Carol Ann Soriano of Holland, Margaret Guizar of Pontiac, Rebecca Guizar of Bitely, MI., Constance Guizar of Detroit, Johnny (Kim) Guizar of Dallas, Tx,., Sarah (Tina) (George) Lukianoff of Davisburg, MI.,

Several grand and great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Ruby Martinez of Algonac, MI., and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by husband, Rafael Guizar in 2000 as well as;

Sons, Richard Guizar in 1972, Ralph Guizar in 2000, Edmond in 1976, and Antonio at birth. She is also preceded in death by daughters, Leta Bustillos in 2003, Delfina Frisch in 2011 son-in-laws, Robert Soriano in 2014, Ralphie Serrano in 2001, Fred Frisch in 2006 and grandchildren, Albert Elizando and Daniel Bustillos.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, 11:00AM, November 8, 2014 at St. VIncent De Paul Catholic Church in Pontiac, MI.

Burial will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Mt. Clemens, MI. near her father.

In leu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to Hospice of Holland.
