Hubert T. Schnotala, "Tom Snow", Kalamazoo passed away Monday morning, October 27, 2014 at his residence. Tom was born November 5, 1931 in Grosse Pointe, MI the son of Theodore and Klara (Lund) Schnotala. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Tom was employed for 33 years with General Electric/Motorola until his retirement. He then worked for Meijers for several years before retiring again. Tom enjoyed dancing, music and photography and was a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. On July 26, 2003 he was united in marriage to his loving wife, Annette who survives. Also surviving are his children, Cynthia (Mick) Henderson, Jeffrey (Cindy Jo) Schnotala; step-sons, Jay (Matsue) Spencer, Rusty Spencer; 2 grandchildren, Tony and Sakura; and several nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his son Ted; and brothers, Richard, Robert, and Donald. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Friday October 31, at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick with Pastor Chuck VanLente officiating. Friends may meet the family Friday from 10-11:00 prior to the service at the funeral home. Private family interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Reverence Hospice.
