Larry Bellisle

Lawrence Myron Bellisle (Larry), 84, of Kalamazoo, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014, at Rose Arbor Hospice Care Facility. He was born in Kalamazoo, MI, to Louise and James Bellisle. Larry loved family, hard work and travel. He was a union carpenter who worked as a Construction Superintendent throughout the State of Michigan. In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf, fishing, hunting, reading and watching the Detroit Lions and Tigers and beers, "oh my!" Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Beverly Elaine. He was extreamly loving and proud of his four daughters, Becki (Randy) Ligman, of Mattawan, Jan (Terry) Baker, of Farwell, Laurie Bellisle, of Kalamazoo, and Michele Hiatt, of San Jose, CA. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Andrea Eash, Ryan Ligman, Zachary Baker, Sarah Conley, Emily Baker, and Zane Hiatt; three great-grandchildren, Harper and Norah Eash, and James Baker; and many loving friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 25, 2014, from 1:00 until 4:00 PM, at the Comstock VFW, 5990 E. Michigan Ave., where a luncheon will be served in celebration of Larry's life. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care of S. W. Michigan, c/o the funeral home.
