William Siebel

William Siebel, Age 69, of Kalamazoo passed away Sunday morning, October 19, 2014 at his home. He was born Jan. 8, 1945 in Kalamazoo the son of the late Anton and Elsie (Soyk) Siebel. He was a graduate of Comstock High School class of 1963. He was employed by Checker Motors and Precast Concrete retiring in Feb. of 2007. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw, and Kalamazoo Corvette Club. He enjoyed car shows, reading, and gardening. On September 21, 2013 in Richland, Bill was united in marriage to Charlene (Melnyk) Fry who survives. Also surviving are 2 children, Todd (Melissa) Siebel of Mattawan; daughter, Cyndi (Matthew) Mohler of Wind Lake, WI; son-in-law, Scott (Ann Marie) Hale of Richland; step-children, Beverly (John) Montague of Mattawan, Matthew Crosser of Cape Town, South Africa, and Nicholas Melnyk of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Brendan and Cody Siebel, Haley and Sarah Mohler, Alex and Jordyn Hale, Zachary and Grace Montague and Benjamin Crosser; brother, John (Laurie) Siebel of Parchment, Sister, Jenny (Jim) Collins of Kalamazoo; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elana Siebel, daughter, Laurie Ann Hale; brother, Anton "Butch" Siebel and a sister, Bonnie Siebel. Family will receive friends Friday, (10/24) 11 a.m. until 12 noon at Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw where a memorial service will be held following visitation at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to West Michigan Cancer Center, Kalamazoo or Hospice of Southwest Michigan.
