Lawrence V. Ambruz

AMBRUZ, Lawrence V. Lawrence V. Ambruz, age 91, of Jenison, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16, 2014. Larry was a World War II Veteran and worked for General Motors for 30 years. He was active in the UAW after retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Ambruz and granddaughter Jennifer Mileham. Larry will be deeply missed by his sons, Gary (Alice) Ambruz, Jim (Joanne) Ambruz and his daughter, Donna Ambruz all of Anchorage, AK; his stepchildren, Fran (Stan) Baran and Richard (Susan) Krzykwa; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Also his special friend, Ricardo Garcia. The family will greet friends and relatives Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton St. SE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday 11 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with Fr. Ted Kozlowski officiating. (Please meet at the church) Interment will be at Pine Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Sorrows (101 Hall SE, GR MI 49507). The family would like to thank the staff at Oakcrest Manor for the care given to Larry.
