Robert Henson

Robert J. Henson, Gobles, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Robert was born November 2, 1927 in Galesburg, the son of Cecil and Marian Henson. He served on the Charleston Township board for 16 years. Robert honorably served his country as a member of the US Army serving in the Korean Conflict. He also worked until retirement at Eckrich for 38 years. Surviving is his wife Vernice of 57 years. Also surviving are his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a brother, David Henson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will meet friends on Wednesday from 11 AM until time of memorial services at Noon, Pastor Gary Napp officiating, at the GOBLES CHAPEL, D. L. Miller Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice .
