Indulis Kaps

Indulis Kaps, Kalamazoo, age 93, passed away at Rose Arbor on Monday, October 13, 2014, with his family at his side. Indulis was born in Remte, Latvia, on April 27, 1921, the son of the late Janis and Marta (Jekabsons) Kaps. On March 19, 1948, in Nuremberg, Germany, he married the love of his life Maiga (Cerins) Kaps, who preceded him in passing on November 20, 2005. As a family, they immigrated to America on March 2, 1952. He was also preceded in passing by two siblings, Grietina Brigmanis and Uldis Kaps. Indulis was a faithful member of the Latvian Ev. Lutheran United Church and Daugavas Vanagi. He was a hard worker who was employed by Durametallic until his retirement in 1983. When not working he loved spending time with family and friends. Indulis leaves to cherish his memory his son Juris (Mary) Kaps; grandson, Brady; a nephew, Jaanis (Nele) Kaps; a sister-in-law, Anna Treimanis; several nieces and great friends. In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Interment in Riverside Cemetery.
