Mary Martin

Mary Ellen Martin, 63, of Bradley passed away at Loyola Medical Center in Chicago, October 6, 2014. She was born the daughter of Richard and Ellen (Phillips) Nickell in Charleston, MO, November 10, 1950.

Mrs. Martin was a reach truck driver for K-Mart Warehouse for 19 yrs, retiring in 2011. She enjoyed reading, watching TV (especially crime shows), sitting outside and loved her cats.

Mary is survived by her children: Gary (Jennifer) Martin of Bradley and Stephanie Martin (Jeff Mook) of Vienna; grandchildren who she loving called “sugar”: Jessica (Ryan) Adams of DeKalb, Kevin Martin of Bradley, Chelsea Mook of Vienna, Blake Mook of Vienna and Alexia Mook of Viennna; and a sister Beverly (Charlie) Brown of Arnold, MO.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son Richard Martin and many brothers, sisters and numerous family members.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

A time for family and friends to gather will be held at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Life Story Funeral Homes, Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 4pm-7pm with a funeral service at 7pm.
