Bettie Barr

Barr, Bettie 4/23/1929 - 9/28/2014 Grand Rapids Mrs. Bette J. Barr, age 85 of Grand Rapids went to be with the Lord on Sunday September 28th, 2014 after suffering from many health problems complicated by Sjogren's Syndrome. Bette was preceded in death by Raymond F. Barr, her husband of 66 years, herparents Otto and Emma Zank, her sweet sons Raymond G. Barr and Robert Bockheim. She will be sadly missed by her children: Jane Barr, Mary Barr, Robert (Wendy) Barr, Richard (Janie) Barr, Diane (Gary) Berryhill, eight special grandchildren: Robert Bockheim, Richard Bockheim, Christopher Barr, Raymond Barr, Michael Barr, Bettie (Zack) Knapp, Megan Barr and Zachary Barr, three beautiful great grandkids Madelynne Barr and Keagan Knapp, Rosealine Patton, nieces, nephews and her "adopted" son David Tompsett. Bettie and her husband Raymond ran B & B Removal Service here in Grand Rapids for 30 years. Bette was a long standing member of the American Legion Post 459 Auxiliary and longtime member of St. Isidore's Church. She was a grea t wife, mom and grandmother who truly loved Jesus. Mom and Dad will be together again as their heart and souls come together in heaven. A Funeral Service will be Thursday at 11:00 at the funeral home. Interment Blythefield Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive visitors Wednesday 6-9 pm at the Arsulowicz Brothers East Mortuary, 937 Michigan NE. Memorial contributions to Sjogren Syndrome Foundation will be appreciated.
