Kathleen Hopkins

Kathleen Hopkins, age 87, of Holland, died Monday September 22, 2014.

Born in Sioux Center, Iowa to the late Albert and Ann Terpstra. Kathleen graduated form Sioux Center High School and later worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant and surgical tech. December 5, 1955 she married Kent Hopkins at the little brown church in Iowa. After the wedding the couple resided in Holland for the rest of their lives. Kathleen was a member of Hope Church for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Kent Hopkins in 1992.

Surviving are sons Steven Hopkins, Michael Hopkins of Holland, daughter Kimberly Ann Hopkins-Hesse and Robert Hesse of G.R., brother Louis and Jane Terpstra of WI, sister Zeanna Van Egdom of Sioux Falls SD, brother-in-law Clarence and Eleanor Hopkins of Holland. Also surviving are nieces and nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 am at the Downtown Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes Inc 29 East 9th St. Visitation will be Friday 6-8 pm at the chapel. Officiating will be the Rev.
