BOETTCHER, Darwin A. Passed away Friday morning, September 19, 2014 at his residence. Darwin was born March 13, 1928 in Flint, MI the son of the late Edwin and Mabel (Elowsky) Boettcher. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army Air Borne during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement he owned and operated Kalamazoo Toms Sales for 22 years. He was also involved with the Ft. Custer Job Corps. Darwin was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed drafting, and being an auctioneer. On August 29, 1953 he was united in marriage to his loving wife Bertha of 61 years, who survives. Also surviving are two children, Jerri (Nick) Kuilema, Bill Boettcher; a sister, Bonnie (Harold)Pauly; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, September 24, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 504 S. Westnedge with Pastor Ken Johnson officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 6-8PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick.
