Richard Wojciuch

WOJCIUCH Richard L. Wojciuch, aged 78 of Grand Rapids, passed away Wednesday morning, September 17, 2014 at Sanctuary of St. Mary. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Wojciuch and Anna (Sloma) Wojciuch. He retired from the Grand Rapids Press Shipping and Receiving, where he worked for 40 years. He honorably served his country in the US Army from 1959-1961 in the Signal Corps, 178th infantry, San Antonio, TX. He loved baseball, softball, serving as a softball umpire for 17 years and playing many years. He is survived by one aunt, Esther Botwinski; special cousins, Nancy Grahs and Marilyn Taber; many other cousins and friends. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 20 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 159 Garfield Ave. SW. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the Mass begins at 11:00 AM.
