William Joseph Zych, born February 7, 1926 in Holland, Michigan, passed away September 11, 2014 at Holland Hospital.

Bill was a very kind and loving man who enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, bowling, and—most of all—spending time with family and friends. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served his country during World War II. He married the love of his life, Mildred, and they spent the next 67 years together. He worked for the city of Holland BPW for 37 years, retiring in 1985. He played baseball and softball until he was 57 years old, and was an avid Cub’s fan.

Bill was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: John, Stella, Mary, Frank, Charles, Henry, Edward, and two infant sisters.

Bill is survived by his wife, Mildred Ruth (TerBeek) Zych and his six children: Beatrice and Q. Terry Wilber of Coldwater, MI; William G and Angelus Zych of Holland, MI; Suzanne and Donald Geddie of Jamestown, NC; Stephen Zych of Fort Pierce, FL; Gary and Jane Zych of Grand Haven, MI; and Annette and Lawrence Glista of Lawrence, MI. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Shirley Zych; sister-in-law, Jackie Zych; sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice and Gilmore Egbers; brother-in-law, Harold TerBeek; and sister-in-law, Sally Hubbard.

Bill was loved by many and will be truly missed.
