Margy A. Bartholomew

BARTHOLOMEW, MARGY A. Margy A. Bartholomew, age 81, of Grand Rapids passed away on September 9, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Gordon J. Bartholomew. Margy is survived by her children, Susan (Larry) Bouma, David (Patti) Bartholomew, Julie Bartholomew; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers Don Bronkema and Doug (Beth) Bronkema; brother-in-law Robert (Judy) Bartholomew. Margy was an employee of Michigan Bell Telephone for 25 years and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She was active with church youth and supported PTA, Girl Scouts and Campfire Girls. Margy enjoyed decorating, gardening, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. The family wishes to thank all of the nurses and staff at Trillium Woods. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11, from 6-8:30PM at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton SE. The funeral services will be held on Friday at 11AM at the funeral chapel, with Rev. Jon Sherrill officiating. Interment at Rosedale Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice.
