Mr. Kenneth R. Briggs, age 86, passed away at home Tuesday, September 9, 2014. He was born in Muskegon, MI on January 13, 1928 to Ferdinand & Edna (Banks) Briggs, and served his country in the US Army. Ken married the former Ruth Berryman on May 25, 1951 and had been employed as a machinist at Teledyne Continental Motors for 39 years until retiring in 1989. He was a member of Fruitport Congregational United Church of Christ and the Muskegon Eagles. Ken played softball and bowled on the Continental teams. He served on the Fruitport Village Council and enjoyed woodworking and golf.

SURVIVORS

Wife of 63 years, Ruth; Son, Kent (Theresa) Briggs of New Era, Craig (Shanna) Briggs of Spring Lake; grandchildren, Brittany (Dustin Cox) Briggs and Brandon Briggs; many nieces and nephews.

SERVICE

Friday, September 12, 2014, 2:00 PM at Fruitport Congregational United Church of Christ with Rev. Donald Wood officiating. Interment at Fruitport Cemetery.

VISITATION

Thursday, 4-8 PM and Friday, one hour prior to the service at Fruitport Congregational United Church of Christ. MEMORIAL: Fruitport Congregational Church UCC.
